In an indication of the difficulty of the crisis imposed by the emerging Corona virus, German Chancellor Angela Merkel considered that her country "has not faced the challenge of such a virus since World War II," noting that there is a "single way" to deal with it.
In a direct TV address, Angela Merkel said that although researchers are working under great pressure to develop a vaccine and medicine to treat the new respiratory disease, "slowing the spread of the virus now is the only way to deal with it."
"Germany has an excellent health system, perhaps one of the best in the world, but our hospitals will also collapse completely if more patients bear it in a short time," added the leader, who studied physics.
She went on to invite "every person in Germany to protect the most vulnerable" towards the emerging Corona virus. And she continued, "Let me tell you ... this is dangerous. Take it seriously too."
