The association did not reveal the name of the reporter but said it was in contact with the White House doctor and the news organization to which the reporter belonged.
"We have been informed that one of our colleagues is suspected of being infected with the Coronavirus, and this person visited the White House on 9, 11, 16 and 18 March," the association said in the statement.

A number of US President Donald Trump's surroundings have been quarantined after coming into contact with HIV.
After refusing, over the course of a few days, to conduct a new corona examination, Trump announced, last Saturday, that he had undergone a negative examination.
Trump had declared a medical emergency in the affected states of Corona, in what he said was "a little dissatisfied" with China's stance towards the spread of the new Coronavirus, accusing Beijing again of not sharing important information about the epidemic.
Trump stressed that the Chinese authorities "should have taught us," repeating the phrase "Chinese virus", which deeply troubles the Chinese system.
