Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on more than 80 million Turkish citizens to implement "voluntary quarantine" and not leave their homes except for basic and urgent needs, after the number of coronavirus deaths in the country reached 92, on Friday.
Erdogan also announced the suspension of all international flights and said that the epidemic boards would be set up in 30 major cities in Turkey, to take additional precautions if necessary.
The Turkish President took several decisions, the most prominent of which was to stop flying flights to all countries of the world, in addition to preventing the movement of citizens between the Turkish states, except with the permission of the Viceroy.
He also announced the closure of public parks, forests and parks on weekends, and to reduce the number of employees working in public and private institutions to a "minimum".
It also decided to prevent passengers from sitting next to each other on transportation and to impose a mandatory distance between passengers.
And it was decided to subject the Turkish soldiers to the quarantine period of 14 days, when they start their duties and when they are completed.
Erdogan announced the formation of expert councils for each governorate, to decide the measures to be taken to prevent the spread of the epidemic, according to the conditions of each governorate.
The number of cases of corona in Turkey rose sharply on Friday, to 5,698 cases, while 17 new deaths were recorded.
