On Sunday, the Moroccan government approved a law that provides for imprisonment and a fine for anyone who violates instructions to abide by the home, as part of efforts to confront Corona.

On Sunday, the cabinet approved a draft decree whereby any violation of the orders and decisions of public authorities is punished by imprisonment from one to three months and by a fine of between 300 and 1,300 dirhams, or by one of the two penalties without prejudice to the most severe criminal punishment.

Morocco has taken a number of measures to curb the spread of "Covid-19", which was classified by the World Health Organization as a global pandemic, chief among them is the imposition of quarantine and suspension of international and domestic flights, preventing travel and movement between cities, closing schools and suspending sports, artistic and cultural activities.

And last Thursday, the Moroccan authorities declared a state of health emergency and restricted movement in the country, starting from 6:00 pm on Friday indefinitely, as an "inevitable" way to keep the new Coronavirus under control.

The Ministry of Interior calls on citizens to "abide by the rules of hygiene and health safety, and to adhere to the state of health emergency declared by the Moroccan authorities, with full patriotism and responsibility."

It is noteworthy that Morocco recorded, Sunday, the number of infections with the Coronavirus to 109.
