Liverpool stars have sent a "touching" video message to health workers around the world for their efforts to tackle the Coronavirus, in an initiative that has won praise from football fans, amid stopping the competitions of the strongest league in the world.
And the official Liverpool account, on Thursday evening, released a 4-minute video, thanking the stars and coach Juergen Klopp, health workers around the world who are putting their lives at risk for the public, by fighting the new Coronavirus.
The German coach Juergen Klopp started the video and thanked the health professionals, on behalf of himself and the Liverpool club, and said, "What you do every day is unbelievable."
Each of the Liverpool stars addressed their video message in their mother tongue, and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah spoke in Arabic.
Salah said: "I thank you very much for your efforts, and appreciate your help for us," while team leader Jordan Henderson said: "You are our heroes."
Most of the stars of Liverpool, such as Dutchman Vergil Van Dyck, Senator Sadio Mane, Brazilian Roberto Firmino and other stars, spoke to the video.
The video has received a great deal of interaction since its publication, and many have praised the initiative of Liverpool to support those working in the first row to fight the spreading Coronavirus.
Liverpool supported the decision to suspend the league from the first day, and demanded its fans to stay at home, although only two league victories are enough to achieve the championship absent from the club for 30 years.
Britain has been affected by the virus, like the rest of Europe, and has recorded more than 11,000 cases, and 578 deaths, as of Friday.
