The Spanish government said, on Monday, that the death toll of Corona in the country has crossed the threshold of two thousand, after recording 462 additional deaths.
The Ministry of Health stated that the number of deaths in Spain as a result of the emerging Coronavirus rose to 2,182 cases, after recording 462 deaths within 24 hours.
And the death rate increased by 27 percent from Sunday, with the number of confirmed cases of the Corona Virus being 33,089 in Spain.
Spain has become one of the countries hardest hit by the epidemic, after China and Italy.
And Saturday, the World Health Organization warned that 4 European countries are following in the footsteps of Italy, in terms of the number of Corona deaths.
The international organization expected that the Italian scenario will be repeated in France, Germany, Spain, and Switzerland, with a time difference not exceeding two weeks, noting that Europe has already become the epicenter of the epidemic of "Covid 19".
For its part, the Spanish government says it will do everything necessary to combat the Corona pandemic, and warns that "the worst is yet to come."
Spain is under full closure in an attempt to contain the spread of Corona. People are only allowed to go out to go to work, buy food and medicine, and take care of old people.
The government declared a state of emergency last Saturday and took stringent measures to keep residents in their homes.
